These work
Upon discovering that an extended brown recluse spider clan had elected to infest my rural abode, I ordered every spider trap I could find on the internet. Of the non-toxic box-shaped glue-trap variety, these are superior to the flimsy Catchmasters, because they have glue on all four interior surfaces (the Catchmaster only has glue on the "floor") and don't collapse as easily if you happen bump into one inadvertently.I put about 60 of these out around the house. In two weeks I've trapped over 30 brown recluses, and have lost count of the other spiders, scorpions, wind-scorpions, gnats, flies, mosquitoes, centipedes, millipedes, and assorted unidentified insecta. The glue holds'em fast; only the most enormous katydids are capable of defeating the Victor's mighty cling.Highly recommended if you aren't into toxic pesticides (which don't work on spiders and scorpions anyway, unless you shoot'em directly), and if brown recluses aren't your idea of good-timin'...

Victor Hobo Spider traps
I really HATE spiders so I have 40 of these traps all over my house. Yes, they work great. I have tried every spider trap available and these are much superior to the others. I have caught 2 HUGE spiders in the last week. And this is just the beginning of the season in which male Hobo spiders are out hunting for mates. These traps give me peace of mind. I have been using these for years and they really do work.

Great for silverfish!
I have a bad problem with silverfish, and while they are harmless and don't bite and don't carry disease I'm sick of seeing them scurry around my kitchen, I placed three of these up against the baseboard and caught about a dozen of them, works great and non toxic.

Not indestructible but worth the money
Tuffy toys are great for dogs who are serious chewers. Our 65 pound mixed breed has the strongest jaws of any dog I know, and can crack a beef bone in half, so finding soft toys that last more than 5 minutes is a challenge. I confess that even Harry the Hobo spider (or Boris, as we call him) remains intact for less than an hour. The great thing is that once a hole has been made in the toy, we can remove the stuffing and our dog still gets weeks of playtime with the remnants. He knaws off the legs and tossed them around. He can play tug without it ripping. I highly recommend the entire line to anyone with a serious chewer who loves soft toys. We have purchesed at least 10 spiders, as well as over a dozen other Tuffy toys, and our dog has always loved every one.

UPDATED after purchasing second spider
UPDATE: After having the first spider for a very long time, we ordered a back-up one. The first spider lasted for several months, but the second spider only made it two days before the stuffing came out of it. Same 15 pound dog, same toy, totally different outcome. However, though the stuffing has been pulled out, the shell of the toy is still a lot of fun for our dog and she is hauling it around with her. I'm not sure what the difference is between the two toys, but I wanted to update this review to let you know that my experience has been inconsistent. Best Spider Killer I've Ever Used
I am EXTREMELY arachnophobic. If the spider is larger than the tip of my pinky or if it has long legs, I can't kill it. I'm terrified that it will somehow climb up on my shoe or whatever implement I'm trying to kill it with and crawl on ME. I don't mind the daddy long legs type unless they're big or dark in color - for me, the worst are the jumping spider and wolf spider. I'm also paranoid of brown recluses because there are a lot of them in my region.So, I bought this spray as a way to be able to kill a spider from a safe distance. I've used several other well-known brands with mixed results. Most of them, you have to spray them with half the can before they curl up and die. So far, this is the best one I've used. It will kill smaller spiders with one direct shot. Make sure you're wearing shoes though - it sometimes takes a couple minutes to work on more robust, less spindly legged spiders. This aerosol is the first to do as it claims.Having had to share my homes with black widows and brown recluses from California to North Carolina, I was frustrated with sprays which had as much effect on spiders as rain has on a frog. The arachnids would shake it off and walk on.NOT SO HERE! They are stopped dead in their track, literally.Perhaps the focus jet with the plastic straw also helps but the product is very efficient.One small (minor) drawback, if you have a colored garage floor, the spray will leave a white mark but it will clean up with a hose and detergent.I can live with a few stains on the floor, but not with spiders in my garden shoes.
